Margaret Colin to Celebrate 25th Anniversary of Grassroots Feminist Organization

Feminists for Nonviolent Choices (FFNVC), formerly Feminists Choosing Life of New York, is sponsoring the Women’s History Month series featuring star of stage and screen, Margaret Colin.
Events in the series include a private luncheon, assemblies at local high schools, a multimedia contest, and an interview on Connections with Evan Dawson of NPR at 1:00 on March 11th. The featured event on March 11th will take place at The Little Theatre in Rochester at 6:00

United Parcel Service, a case that will help determine what accommodations employers are legally obligated to provide to their pregnant employees.... Lawyer, Human Rights Activist Speaks on Gendercide

Ms. Reggie Littlejohn, lawyer, international human rights activist, and President of Women's Rights Without Frontiers (WRWF), will speak to New York upstate audiences about gendercide. The 3-day event is in conjunction with a national Campaign for Nonviolence to call attention to global oppression and launch a new movement to wage a culture of peace.

Today, FCLNY is announcing an organizational name change to Feminists for Nonviolent Choices. The new name more accurately describes the work they have been doing and genuinely reflects the root of their mission, the belief that all human beings have a right to live without violence from conception to natural death.
FCLNY Urges Senators to Stay Strong as Family Planning Advocates Attempt to Reframe Women's Equality Act

Despite the likely attempts to reframe support for WEA, the abortion expansion component remains unchanged. If passed, point 10 of the WEA goes far beyond "codification" and raises abortion to a fundamental right in NYS, removes the physician mandate for the procedure, allows late-term abortions through a broad "health" of the mother exception, allows late-term abortions in out-patient settings, and allows physicians to subjectively determine viability of a fetus.

Federally-focused Political Action Committees and 527s with a pro-choice mission contribute a total of 25 times more than those with a pro-life mission, according to a report released this week by Feminists Choosing Life of New York.
